Spring Pics, Spring Flowers Pics

Learn how to take spring pics for your digital printing needs. Neat spring flowers pics are also featured on this page.

With spring comes another set of colors. Fall had its yellows, oranges and red; winter saw its fair share of whites, blues and grays; and spring adds green to the palette and a brown shifting.

The white-tailed deer head out of the woods more frequently, seeking food on the neighbouring fields. You need a quick draw and stealth maneuvering to add them to your collection of photos of spring.

The birds return, thus opening the color flood gate. HDR photos of these motion-heavy subjects are possible. Just have patience. They have to land sooner or later.

Usually at some point in the spring, especially if you live in the Atlantic provinces, you will fall victim to a week of rain -- as if it's payback for that nice, sunny 15-degree day the week before!Use the tripod because of the low light -- remember, no sun, just a beautiful grayscale of miserableness.

Valuable Tips For Neat Spring Pics

** Wherever the rain collects is a possible spring pics composition. Look for drops on your car, windshield, etc. See the stream running down a house window. With a telephoto lens and small depth of field, the background colors will blur together for some cool abstracts.

** Spring also means a rebirth, a time for freshness. So why not approach your photography the same way? Think of different angles of objects you've captured before. If you've always shot landscapes with a wide angle, leave it in the bag and pull out the telephoto. Challenge yourself to create. Give your brain a workout.

** Make a habit of bringing your camera every time you get in your car for spontaneous photos of spring.

** Since your light meter will probably be fooled, bracket your exposures the normal way and then begin other sets with the starting points at overexposed or underexposed and fire off exposures at +-2 increments.

** Link foreground subject to background through use of wide angle lens.

** Also, reverse this idea and use a foreground object to frame a distant main subject.

** Expect wind affecting your spring pics, plus the season's characteristic of moving clouds will produce unexpected spotlights.

** Cool nights and warm morning valley air produces fog, so take advantage of this morning condition.

** Horizontal sunlight (early morning, evening) adds dimension to the landscape. Golf course photographers shoot during these periods to show the undulations of the fairways and greens. A sand trap that you thought was reasonably flat during midday will actually take on an intimidating mountainous appearance with the horizontal sun and its corresponding shadows.

** Stand among the trees, look straight up and there you have it -- converging verticals. In the spring, before the trees blossom, just the trunks are present, which create dynamic lines.

** Want to remove the background distractions, exhibit more detail in the image and basically boost the value of your work? Just fill the frame.
